Job Brief
As an Early Childhood Educator, you will plan and implement activities that promote the development of children from infancy through preschool age. You'll create a safe and stimulating environment that encourages learning through play and interaction. ECEs also work closely with families to support each child’s growth and address specific needs.
Responsibilities
- Developing and implementing educational activities aligned with developmental goals
- Observing and documenting children's behavior and progress
- Promoting physical, emotional, and social development through structured play and routines
- Maintaining a safe and hygienic classroom environment
- Collaborating with parents and caregivers to ensure consistent child development
- Supporting children with special needs or behavioral challenges
- Ensuring compliance with child safety and education regulations
Requirements
- Diploma or degree in Early Childhood Education
- Certification from a recognized licensing body (e.g., ECE Level I, II, or III)
- First Aid and CPR certification
- Strong communication, patience, and organizational skills
- Experience in childcare or educational settings preferred
Wages
Average hourly wage: $18 to $30 AUD
