Cleaner / Janitor
Packers and Assemblers are responsible for preparing goods for shipment or assembling components as part of a production line. This job is suited for individuals who are detail-oriented, efficient, and capable of working in a fast-paced setting.
As a Packer or Assembler, you will follow instructions to put together product parts, check product quality, and pack items securely for shipping. You may work with hand tools or light machinery and must ensure that each item meets company standards. Maintaining cleanliness and safety in your work area is essential.
This role requires standing for long periods and repetitive hand motions. Work environments may be temperature-controlled warehouses, factories, or food production facilities, depending on the employer.
- Assembling parts or products using tools and machinery
- Inspecting items for defects or inconsistencies
- Labeling, packaging, and sealing boxes
- Maintaining clean and organized workspaces
- Following standard operating procedures and quality guidelines
- Meeting daily production or packing targets
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Good eyesight and manual dexterity
- Ability to work on your feet and perform repetitive tasks
- Basic math and reading skills
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Previous experience is helpful but not required
- Average hourly wage: $15 to $18 CAD
- Pay may increase based on productivity or shifts
- Some employers offer performance bonuses or benefits
- Two years’ Work Permit and apply for Immigrationunder the Agri Pilot Program OR PNP after 1 year of Canadian experience.
