Cleaner / Janitor
Cleaners and Janitors ensure that workplaces, public buildings, and residential spaces remain clean, sanitary, and organized. This job is perfect for individuals who take pride in cleanliness, are self-motivated, and can work independently or as part of a team.
As a Cleaner or Janitor, your daily tasks include sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, emptying trash, cleaning restrooms, and restocking supplies. You’ll be responsible for using cleaning chemicals and equipment safely while maintaining high standards of hygiene. Your work supports a safe and pleasant environment for employees, customers, or residents.
Depending on the location, you may work during off-hours, evenings, or early mornings. This job is physically active and requires attention to detail.
- Cleaning floors, surfaces, and restrooms
- Emptying garbage bins and replacing liners
- Sanitizing high-touch areas and equipment
- Refilling bathroom and cleaning supplies
- Using and maintaining cleaning tools and chemicals
- Reporting any maintenance or safety issues
- No formal education required
- Ability to follow instructions and cleaning procedures
- Physically fit for extended periods of standing or lifting
- Attention to cleanliness and safety
- Time management and reliability
- Previous cleaning experience is an asset
- Average hourly wage: $15 to $17 CAD
- Night shift or weekend premiums may apply
- Full-time and part-time options available
- Two years’ Work Permit and apply for Immigrationunder the Agri Pilot Program OR PNP after 1 year of Canadian experience.
