Job Description
In this role, you will construct and repair walls, arches, and other structures by laying bricks or stones, using mortar to hold them together. You’ll work with both traditional and modern materials, following blueprints or specifications.
Responsibilities
- Lay bricks and stones in mortar to create walls and structures
- Follow architectural plans to ensure proper alignment and dimensions
- Repair damaged brickwork and masonry structures
- Measure and cut bricks, stones, and other materials
- Ensure safety regulations and construction codes are followed
Requirements
- Apprenticeship or formal training in masonry
- Physical strength and stamina for outdoor work
- Ability to read and interpret construction blueprints
- Attention to detail and craftsmanship

Average hourly wage: $25 to $40 NZD
