Job Description
Gas Station Attendants provide fuel services, process customer transactions, and ensure the cleanliness and safety of the gas station. It’s an ideal position for individuals who enjoy customer service and can work independently.
Job Brief
As a Gas Station Attendant, you’ll greet customers, fill gas tanks if required, process payments, and stock shelves with convenience store items. You’ll also be responsible for basic site maintenance, like cleaning pumps, windows, or spill areas, and ensuring compliance with safety regulations.
This role often involves working alone or with minimal supervision and may require night or weekend shifts.
Responsibilities
- Operating cash register and handling payments
- Assisting customers with fueling or in-store purchases
- Stocking merchandise and maintaining store cleanliness
- Checking fuel levels and reporting equipment issues
- Enforcing safety protocols and emergency procedures
- Cleaning restrooms and outdoor areas
Detailed Tasks
- High school diploma preferred
- Friendly attitude and strong communication skills
- Ability to work independently
- Basic math and computer skills
- Availability for varied shifts
- Previous retail or cashier experience is an asset
Wages
- Average hourly wage: $15 to $17 CAD
- Bonuses or night shift differentials may apply
- Uniforms and training typically provided
Requirement
- Two years’ Work Permit and apply for Immigrationunder the Agri Pilot Program OR PNP after 1 year of Canadian experience.
- Education - Minimum High School
- Experience - 1+ years
- IELTS - Overall 4.0
Salary
$15 to $17 CAD / hourly
