Storepersons are responsible for managing inventory, organizing stock, and assisting in the smooth operation of warehouses or retail stores by ensuring goods are properly stored, tracked, and distributed.
Job Description
As a Storeperson, you will oversee receiving, organizing, and storing stock in a warehouse or retail environment. You will maintain accurate records of inventory, prepare goods for delivery, and assist with stocktaking. You will be responsible for ensuring that products are safely stored and that the warehouse is tidy and well-organized. Additionally, you may handle customer inquiries, assist with the picking and packing of orders, and ensure that stock levels are maintained.
Responsibilities
- Receive and process incoming goods and stock
- Organize and store products in an orderly and accessible manner
- Perform regular stock checks and update inventory records
- Pick and pack orders for shipment or retail display
- Maintain a clean and organized warehouse or storage area
- Assist with customer service or stock inquiries
Requirements
- Previous experience in a similar role or warehouse environment
- Good organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to lift heavy objects and work in a physically demanding environment
- Strong communication skills and team-oriented attitude
Wages
Average hourly wage: $18 to $25 NZD
Annual salary: $38,000 to $50,000 NZD
